High Winds in Midwest

USPS has reported multiple Post Office closures across Michigan and Ohio due to power outages caused by high winds. The high winds, reported at 60 mph, are responsible for numerous problems including downed trees and power lines, overturned vehicles, and other accidents.

Resumed Operations

[4/28/17] The United Postal Service is no longer reporting the following Post Offices as experiencing service interruptions

Ohio

The New London Post Office, 44851 is experiencing a power outage resulting from high winds.

In addition, the Whitehall Carrier Annex, 43213 is damaged because of a fire. Destination delivery unit drop shipments are redirected to the Airport Annex located in Columbus, OH, 43236. Operations are expected to resume in late July 2017.

- Woodland Post Office, 48897
- Saint Johns Post Office, 48879
- Shelbyville Post Office, 49344
